The ECDL is broken down into seven modules; a test for each must be passed before the ECDL certificate is awarded. ECDL is open to anyone regardless of age, education, experience or background.

The seven tests may be taken in any order and over a period of 3 years from start to finish.

The ECDL enables people to demonstrate their competence in computer skills. It is designed to help people both at work and at home, and confirms to potential employers that a person has a recognised, relevant qualification.

For those new to computers, ECDL will provide you with a solid foundation of computer skills helping you to competently and confidently use computers.

The ECDL builds around a logbook. As you pass each of seven modules successfully, it is noted in your logbook. The final achievement of a full logbook leads to the award of your license.

Interalia provide a Training Needs Analysis. This is designed to ensure that the training you receive is relevant to your needs. It will also help indicate the mode of learning that would be best for you and the time required to become competent within each module.
